CDA gas hobs are built to a high standard and come with or with out FFD's.
What are FFD's, these are (Flame Failure Device) this is a safety valve that ensures that if the gas valve(s) are turned on by mistake and forgotten about the gas will not be permitted to stay on (once the burner is lit)
If the burner is in use and the flame goes out for any reason but gas continues to come through the burner the FFD will isolate this and switch the valve off. There is no need to reset the burner or the valve as this FFD valve is designed using a thermocouple that needs heat in order to keep the valve open....No heat means no gas when the valve is being operated by the user.
These are becoming more and more popular but our models still come with the option to have or not to have then fitted as standard. However we always suggest to have the extra safety features fitted only for safety aspects in mind.
